Magnetix Fail!
First off let me say I did not fail to make my posts seven days in a row intentionally. We had some craziness at our hotel which resulted in no internet service. We ended up checking out and moving to another hotel 6 minutes away. Sounds simple enough but it took us an hour to find it. That set us back an hour for our dinner plans. By the time we got to the restaurant it was extremely packed and there was a 30 minute wait. Anyway suffice to say I wasn't able to post on Saturday. I feel like my husband and I live in our own sitcom with crazy things happening to us but it always ends with us laughing. We have a good time together no matter what. We are home now so I will make up for it by posting twice.
On our way out of town I stopped at Sally's and found China Glaze's Magnetix nail polish and I was overjoyed. I had previously seen magnetic nail polish at Ulta but it was $15 so I passed on it. Unlike some of the other magnetic polishes China Glaze does not put the magnets in the lids the magnet is a separate item. Its a plastic red "U" with three different magnets on it and little crescents on the underside that are supposed to keep the magnet the proper distance from your nail. Wrong!!!

The magnet was a pain in my @ss! |
Either the magnet touched the polish and smudged it or it was too far away from the nail to effectively create the pattern in the polish. I was at the point where I nearly threw it all in the garbage when my husband said he thought it was cool. So I removed all the polish and tried it a second time. It did come out better the second time but not without fault. Below are the pics from that attempt. I will give it another try but probably not too soon. I love the way it looks its just a little time consuming and infuriating. Anyway I had a wonderful weekend and I hope you did too. Take some time today and love yourself and get ready for Monday. Holla!

Another Blue Polish
Today's post is a review of Zoya's Phoebe. Its a bright blue that reminds me of the water at the beach in Cancun. It is one of their Matte Velvet laquers. I really liked the matte polish I got from ManGlaze and since it was on clearance for $3.99 I figured it was worth a try. Thank goodness because I was not happy with it. The first thing I noticed was that even though I waited until the first coat was completely dry before I applied the second one it still pulled the first coat off in streaks. Not to mention the first coat was so sheer and streaky wearing just one coat was not an option. After 2 coats the color was great but the finish was bumpy. The little hills on it bothered me so much I put on 2 coats of Seche Vite. The color was fabulous. Unfortunately the polish was chipped the next day. I would characterize this as a total disappointment.

See the uneven finish...uggh! |

See how pretty the color is with a pretty blue shimmer in it. |

Even after the top coat you can see bumps in it. |
So that concludes my week long post-a-day. Hope you found something interesting and will come back to read and follow my blog. Don't forget to Love Yourself.

Getting Sexy in the City
Yes its another blue mani. I know, I need a 12 step program for all my blue nail addiction. I wanted something matte-tastic. ManGlaze Matte is Murder and I Lily Love You by OPI. On top is Matastrophe. Nothing fancy really just something fun. I am extremely sleepy so is probably why its not as precise as I would like. I probably should have used one of my favorite sayings for this one. "Good idea, bad execution." I am going to take a little nap now. Chin up tomorrow is Friday! I am looking forward to the weekend and hearing that you Love Yourself! Enjoy the pics.

Wednesday Pinky
So this is just a quick post for Wednesday. I did pink with black & gold stripes. The pink is SHXW in Pink Satin, Matte is Murder by ManGlaze for the black and SHXW in Golden-I. Using tape would have helped but I don't have the patience to cut tape and when I do I always seem to jack it up when I peel it off. Simply to do just laid down the base color did a wide swipe of black and used a stripper brush to put the gold stripe down the center. Well I am off to pack for my 10 year anniversary with my sexy hubby. I intend to keep up the posting over the weekend(if he lets me up for air ;) so talk to ya soon. Please follow me if you like what I'm doing and let me know what looks you would like to see. I have a few more nail looks posted on my Pinterest board also called Polished Poison. I love you for reading and you definitely should Love Yourself!!!
